Climbing to Barafu Hut
| The morning that we left the Barranco hut, we turned uphill and climbed this ridge to the Barafu Hut. This is the hut we used to make our summit push at midnight. The word 'barafu' means ice in Swahili. There's no running water at the hut. The porters carried water jugs all the way up to the hut. Wow. | ||
