September 2005 - My friend Mark had his 35th birthday and his girlfriend Alexandra made a big day out of it. We had about 10 of us meet for brunch in the morning. Then we rode in an SUV limo down to Newport, 6 of us skydived, then we had dinner in Newport and rode home again in the limo. It was sweet!

July 2005 - Mer and I went to Charlemont, a small town in western Mass. to see their once per year town fair called Yankee Doodle Days. It's a typical small-town fair with fried dough, rides for the kids, etc. But the main attraction is a demolition derby. There was lots of carnage. Get it? CAR-nage! Bah hah hah!

In April 2004, I spent about a week in Death Valley as part of a photography workshop with Phil Kember who runs Death Valley Photo. It was Phil, me, and three other guys. We had a great time and Phil was a great guide to good photo spots in the valley and surrounding areas. This photo collection is a combination of snapshots and nicer shots I took during the workshop plus a couple mixed in from Bill Woody who was also in the workshop.

December, 2002. The company I worked for at the time had a great benefit that let you take a 5-week sabbatical after you'd been with the company for 5 years. Mer and I took advantage of this by going to New Zealand for two weeks then Australia for three. It was an amazing trip.

In August 1997, I was lucky enough to be able to take the month off from work and travel to Africa. It was an amazing trip. I spent a week climbing Kilimanjaro, then 3 days in Zanzibar, two weeks in the Selous Game Reserve and Ruaha National Parks, then 3 days in Malawi. I took over 1000 pictures and they're all on film so I've only chosen a representative few to post here. If you like, you can also click here to check out a detailed itinerary of my trip.

When my friends and I go on roller coasters, we usually try to find the camera where they take your picture and then have fun with it.
