- Apr 22 – Depart from Boston
- Apr 23 – 28 – Rome
- April 28 – May 1 – Sorrento (base for Pompeii/Herculaneum/Amalfi Coast/Capri)
- May 1 – 3 – Florence
- May 3 – 10 – Agriturismo Malagronda, Citta della Pieve, Umbria (on border between Umbria and Tuscany)
- May 10 – 17 – Il Borghetto, Cortennano, Toscana (near San Gimignano in Tuscany)
- May 17 – 21 – Cinque Terre (staying in Riomaggiore)
- May 21 – 23 – Lake Como (staying in Varenna)
- May 23 – 25 – Bassano del Grappa (staying with friends)
- May 25 – 27 – Bologna (via Ravenna for long-awaited Byzantine Mosaics!)
- May 27 – June 1 – Venice
- June 1 – June 5 – Merano/Meran in Alto Adige/Sud Tyrol (Dolomites)
- June 5 – June 9 – Munich (staying with a friend)
- June 9 – home to Boston
